We know that your pet means the world to you and so you'll be glad to hear all our Pet Caring services are checked and insured for your peace of mind. Some Pet Caring services also provide additional forms of identification including, additional insurance certificates, DBS checks and ID. When a Pet Caring business has shared these documents with us, we upload our stamp of certification to their profile. Below is an example of each logo:
You may want to use these as an additional form of security; however, it is not a legal requirement to have these in order to undertake tasks such as dog walking, so we recommend the following when choosing the services of Pet Carers:
Always arrange a meet and greet before committing to a booking, as this gives you a chance to see how compatible the carer is with your pet.
Provide the Pet Carer with important information about your pet, for example how he/she reacts with other dogs.
Any phobias or behaviours your pet may have for example do they get frightened by cars spooked by small tracks. Be as specific as you can.
Explain what command and recall words they are used to and whether they can be let off a lead etc...
We would also recommend you request a copy or to see the Pet Carers documents when you arrange a meet and greet. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with the person you are choosing before handing over any keys or giving access to your pet and property.
